OMG I went to Safeway today because we were in a hurry and Trevor wanted pickles. I mean, WANTED pickles. We had just finished reading Pickle Things by Marc Brown. Anyway, I couldn't find any pickles without VERY scary preservatives and, in most cases, high fructose corn syrup. Pickles. Seriously. They are packed in vinegar! How necessary can the sugar and toxins possibly be? Parrish says, "Mom, I like this store better than Vitamin Cottage. It has more stuff." I said, "More stuff allright. Let me tell you what the pickles have!" We left WITHOUT the pickles, and took the extra time to get our pickles toxin free! Vitamin Cottage rules!
